More about me....
On December the 6th 2023 I began my eighteenth year as a Therapist.
I started as a total novice in 2000 and in December 2006 I got my first professional job working in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Bradford.
I have since worked with the NHS from May 2008 to February 2016 and once again from October 2016 to December 2018 and as you can see Total Therapeutics began in 2012.
Over these years I have accumulated around 30,000 (yes 30,000!) hours of one to one therapy.
Throughout this time I have truly experienced a plethora of human difficulties and struggles.
They have included the many forms that anxiety can take, profound problems with low mood and depression, people with awfully low confidence, OCD, phobias, problems with relationships, grief and also problems that stem from trauma such as those who have been involved in car accidents, been attacked or some other traumatic event.
This work has been with people from age sixteen to late eighties and a total mixture of men and women.
Academically, I have a Bsc Hons degree in Counselling in 2007, a Post Graduate Certificate in Cognitive Psychotherapy in 2009, a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision in 2011 (I supervise other Therapists) and what are known
as parts 1-4 EMDR qualifications in 2011.
Besides this there are other low level qualifications from my early days and a heap of training days
yet I chose just inform you about my main qualifications.
I receive referrals from many companies throughout the UK and I am recommended by Lincolnshire based Solicitors and local GP's.
Also, as my website says, I'm an author.
All standards that must be observed as a private health provider are in place and Total Therapeutics Ltd is run in a meticulous manner.
I am insured by Holistic Insurance
I am a fully accredited Psychotherapist with the BABCP. Check out what this means here....
Please just let me know if you wish to know more.
Thank you, Ian
